The Story Behind Fill Your Cup Journal

Ever since I was little, I’ve been a journal girl. From childhood diaries with glittery covers to grown-up notebooks filled with thoughts, reflections and dreams, writing has always helped me make sense of the world.

And when I became a mother, everything shifted.

I longed for something that truly reflected this season of life. I searched for a gratitude journal made for motherhood. Something that felt real and soul lifting. But everything I found felt surface level, generic, and disconnected from the reality of motherhood. They didn’t speak to the whole of me... the nurturer and the woman behind her.

So, with over a decade of experience as a secondary school teacher and a heart full of ideas, I took matters into my own hands. I made a journal just for me - something I could turn to while sipping a cup of tea, during nap times, or in those quiet moments that are just mine.

I poured into this journal everything I wished existed: gratitude, truth, creativity, reflection, and encouragement. When I shared it with my friends, who are also mothers, their response was the same. They too had been searching for something like this and could not find it anywhere.

That’s when I knew this wasn’t just for me.

This was for us - all of us raising little humans, while slowly growing ourselves.

That’s how Fill Your Cup: Motherhood Gratitude Journal was born. Not from a brand idea, but from a lived experience. From love. From a desire to honour the beauty and deep transformation of motherhood.

And now it’s yours.

A soft place to land.

A gentle space to reflect.

A moment of calm, just for you.

I hope it feels like a warm hug on the days you need one most.

With love and so much gratitude,

Safak Ali
